Making these flowers is my morning meditation. Originally, I started making them for my daughter's hair or to dress up an old pair of shoes. It's a creative way to get myself centered for the day. I revel in the texture and sheen of each fabric and the way my scissors glide through the reflective fabric in the candlelight used to burn the edges. I stitch my intentions for the day into each piece. By spreading flowers onto people’s heads, I invoke the colors of spring even during the coldest winter days, and I give our Mother Earth more reasons to laugh.

Each flower is handmade and contain 5-12 layers of satin fabric. I hope you enjoy them and let them enhance your beauty.
