The stoic in me got ready for any outcome and prepared myself to have fever, flu symptoms, aches, fatigue, etc, but I did not prepare to feel euphoric, grateful, strong, and to run my strongest, fastest, most enjoyable 5k of my life so far a couple of hours after getting my second dose of the vaccine and to finish this run being kissed by the rain, the breeze and my tears of joy. I feel like a super woman! How lucky we are those of us who can make choices and decide how we are going to show up for ourselves and each other.
Como soy un poquito estoica, me prepare para pasarla mal y tener todos los síntomas imaginables de la segunda dosis de la vacuna. Ni me imaginé que no solo no tuve síntomas negativos sino que me sentí super feliz, fuerte, con una estámina para tirar al techo. Corrí 5 kilómetros a todo dar, batiendo record de velocidad y placer a solo dos horas de haber recibido la Pfizer. Me siento como la mujer maravilla. Mi maratón personal terminó con una lluvia hermosa y un atardecer imperdible, aparte de unas cuantas lágrimas que acompañaron a mis trotes.
